same weekend as Gold Nats....i've seen the development at grand park, though....very nice....6 softball specific fields....none lighted, though, at least not yet.

It's a regional tournament, so it really isn't for Gold teams. TC/USA Nats (7/14-17 in GA) is appropriate for Gold and PGF Nat'l teams.

It might be appealing to 14U teams considering ASA/USA Nats are in SoCal and none of the ASA Nats are near OH (CT, MN, GA). However, it's a liitle risky being an inaugural event with local partners that are baseball oriented.

ASA's entry fees are less - however, you need to add gate fees and add'l travel costs (getting there and back) for an apples-to-apples comparison. TCS also includes an additional pool game.

ASA Eastern (CT): 4gg, $550 (no gate)
ASA Southern (GA): 4gg, $400 + ?? (no info avail)
ASA Northern (MN): 4gg, $400 + $20-25 gate fees for 9yo and up

TCS Midwest (IN): 5gg, $850 (no gate)
TCS East Coast (SC): 5gg, $900 (no gate)

been to three ASA events in past three years (1 Regional and 2 ASA/USA) and all had a gate fee. If I recall, each came with 3 paid coaches entree passes. Week pass last year was $40 or $50 for adults and $30 for kids.
