NKU lost two games today, eliminating them from the World Series. They lost 1-0 to Lynn University on a homerun by freshman Alex Acosta in the third inning. Kennesaw State University then eliminated them 6-0 in the losers bracket.

Sure, the season was ended a little earlier then the Norse would have liked, but none of this can take away from the great season they had!! 55-2 is nothing to hang your head about and the longest winning streak in NCAA softball history!! Great job Coach Stewart, Coach Chip, and all the girls.

Below is the link to the Enquirer photo's from the NKU Sunday games.

NKU had an outstanding year. They just couldn't cap it off the way they wanted to.

They were not a perfect team, they will tell you that themselves. Right now each and every one of them would tell you what they could have done; something a little more to have been a little bit better. Good teams think that way, they can't help it. It is part of their evolutionary process. This team has learned what it needed to learn, to be champions. Now they will build on that and be even better next year. NKU has shown that if you want to learn to be a champion come to NKU, because they practice it there.

To those young ladies graduating and moving on.

Stay humble, but walk with that champions swagger,

you've earned it!

When we congratulate the coaches, let's not forget all the coaches. They must have pretty good pitching coach in Ms. Kennedy.
