Ohio All Americans Tryouts - 16U (Professional Coached)

Discussion in 'Retired Tryouts Post' started by Ohio All Americans FP, Jul 24, 2019.

    “Be an All American”

The Ohio All Americans are professional coached and based in Central Ohio and play a very competitive schedule. With both hitting and pitching coaches on staff we focus on player development. The team is aligned with Mannino’s Grand Slam training facility for training and to supplement our on-field work.

We are finishing up a very successful first season with our 14U team including to date - 42 wins, 2 tournament championships, and (4) 3rd place finishes including 3rd at the GAPSS tournament.

The coaching staff for next year includes Chris Carden returning as a head coach and Director of Instruction, Dani Ramos as a head coach, Melissa Wright-Rodgers returning as the club’s pitching coach and Brad Damewood returning as a coach.

    · Chris Carden has coached and instructed for over 20 years. Chris is the head coach of this year’s team and brings with him a wealth of experience both on and off the field and is focused on player and team development (www.grandslaminfo.com/about-us/staff/49/chris-carden/).

    · Dani Ramos is a former standout Division 1 player and current instructor and coach. Dani spent her college softball career from 2011-2015 playing outfield for Kent State University. During her career at Kent State, Dani earned First Team All MAC and was selected to the All MAC Tournament team. Dani ranks fifth in all time number of triples at Kent State and was named a distinguished Scholar Athlete. Dani, as a recent D1 player, is an excellent mentor and resource for the All American Players and can help them achieve their softball objectives.

    · Melissa Wright-Rodgers, returns as the team pitching coach (www.grandslaminfo.com/about-us/staff/56/melissa-wrightrodgers/). Melissa is a former college All-American softball player and current instructor and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a great ability to mentor players.

    · Brad Damewood, returns as a team coach bringing 10 seasons of softball coaching experience including 7 as head coach. Brad has coached teams to over 150 travel game wins.

The current 14U team is made up of 04 and 05 players which will be split across a 16u and a 14u team for next year. We are looking for multiple players with 2003 and 2004 birth years to join the returning players.

We are looking for dedicated, hard-working and competitive players who want to take to their game to the next level. We encourage and appreciate multi-sport athletes and also encourage girls that tried out last year to attend the tryouts again this year.
