The Ohio Emeralds organization will be holding tryouts August 8 at Perry Park in Massillon, Ohio. Private tryouts available upon request. Pitchers and catchers please be prepared to stay 30 minutes later.

***UPDATE*** LAST POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED ON OHIO EMERALDS 01. THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST IN OUR TEAM


The Ohio Emeralds 01 (14U) had a successful year as an all 01 team. We won 6 tournaments, including the Wolfpack 1 day tournament, Tigertown Kickoff, and the 16U division of Valley Extreme Strong Cancer Benefit ASA/ENQ. We were tied for 5th at Fire in the Sky (out of 96 teams), were a Finalist at Stingrays in the 14U Futures division and finished 3rd at ASA Eastern Nationals. Our only two losses at Nationals were in the Winners Bracket final against Wizards Elite 2000 and to Arkansas Team Worth (2014 12U ASA/USA National Champion). We beat Arkansas in the Winners bracket semi final and then lost to them in the losers bracket final. Our final record was 91-11-5.

We will return a strong core of players. Our primary need this off season is another strong pitcher to complement our pitching staff. We’ve gone deep in nearly every tournament we’ve played, so there will be plenty of innings available to the right pitcher.
