Great news, we went to the batting cages tonight, since practice was rained out, and there, I found out one of the girls who just joined the team has caught before. Maybe she's the one! Anybody know where I can get a 1st baseman's glove cheap? for the new catcher?

OK. time to get this thread back on track. Anybody else ticked off about not seeing any of OSU's tournament games on TV? Maybe I'm just getting spoiled, after all it's not been that long that we actually have college or pro fastpitch games being televised, but still, having to keep focused on the bottom line TV news trailer to get OSU results is frustrating.

I am also bummed about not being able to watch the Buckeyes on tv in their regional, but I was fortunate enough to watch them play live in their stadium!! I am pretty sure Super Regionals will be on ESPN this coming week!! GO BUCKS :)

Yes - it was a shame that the games were not on TV. The only games that were broadcast were the AZ ST games ob ESPNU and I think Friday's game was also shown on ESPN. I was able to watch most all of the regional games over the weekend on-line. Not the best camera angles or resolution, but I did watch many games.

Good news is that it looks like all of the Super Regional games this weekend are being carried by the ESPN family of networks although I am sure most of the games will be on ESPNU.

IS OSU hosting?

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team will travel to Athens, Ga., for its first appearance in an NCAA Super Regional in program history, according to an announcement made by the NCAA Monday morning. The 11th-seeded Buckeyes (47-9) will face sixth-seeded Georgia (42-10) in a best-of-three game series Thursday and Friday at the UGA Softball Stadium. The opening game of the series will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. ET while game two will be Friday at 4:30 p.m. The 'if necessary' game three would follow game two on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
TV INFORMATION
All of the Georgia vs. Ohio State games will be broadcast live on ESPN2

So OSU softball cognoscenti, what's the deal on Coach Kalafatis? Has she done enough this year to keep her job? I've talked to some people, whose softball opinion I highly respect who aren't very pleased with her recruiting efforts, (or lack of them) in Ohio.

OSU coach was definately out-coached against Georgia. I would have assumed that there would have been more of an uprising considering how the games developed.

The best thing about Ohio State this year for my team is: Courtney Pruner playing right field! She was an outstanding pitcher and infielder for Ellet High School in Akron Ohio. I can't tell you how many times I told my team that they need to understand the game and be a complete player!!! I can't tell you the number of times I told my parents that if their DD makes a college team, that they might not be playing in the position they want! Courtney is a team player and wants to play the game no matter which position!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great game Courtney:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Judging from what the TV announcers said, describing what Courtney has fought through medically, and what she is still facing, to be able to play next year. Saying she is a team player would be a huge understatement. She is awesome with a steel resolve.
