Ohio Thunder 06 Black will be entering the 2019/20 season as a 13U team, coming off a terrific 12U year in which they were GAPSS Champions! Russ Smith will be taking over as head coach. He is the President & Co-founder of Ohio Thunder. Russ brought the 97 team all the way through 18U, also starting the original 02 team beginning at the 8U level. 19 girls from those two teams are currently, have formerly, or will be (and counting)playing college softball! Russ took the past year off after having coached the Ohio Thunder 007 team the previous two years in which 007 team finished 1st or 2nd in every State 10U Poll.
As we enter this season, we will be returning a very solid core of players! We are looking to add a Top A Level Pitcher to our rotation, a solid left side infielder, and some Speedy OF's to solid up our Defense. Of course we would like to add a Slapper, as we love speed! If you feel we may be a good fit, as we begin a schedule to get your player looks from college coaches, then give me a call to discuss. We will participate in our organizational tryouts on August 1st & 3rd. Private Tryouts can be scheduled.
