18u players don't give up the sport you love just because you won't be playing competitively in college
If you are a junior, senior or even a college freshman in the Detroit area, don't stop playing the sport you love just because you know you won't be playing competitively past high school. The Plymouth-Canton Spirit 18u program stresses school first so we will allow you to maintain your other activities and obligations while still being able to participate in a competitive softball environment.
We will train to improve in the fall, have some informal competitions, condition / train in the winter and then, in March, while some of us will embark on the high school season, the rest of us will continue to prepare independently for a fun, exciting and challenging summer tournament season.
We really keep our time and financial commitments down to a minimum with only 1-2 practices weekly and a total cost not to exceed $700 (but may even be lower). The 5 summer tournaments will be mostly local with 1 or 2 of them venturing to north / west Michigan or Ohio.
We currently have 2-3 openings for utility players that still have the fire and desire to play even if softball is not your #1 priority going forward.
