Speaking of Ohio Wave. How did you come up with a name like Wave in Greenville Ohio? Lol. Not many surfers there I reckon. Lol

Heat 95 at Marysville this past weekend lost in the quaterfinals to Ohio Extreme 5-4 had won first Bracket game 6-2 against OFC Blast.

Went 2-1 in pool play with wins over HoO Pulse 6-0 (not sure of our score but sure of theirs) Sting 3-2 and lost to Central OH Ice 5-2.

Thats a great question. Initially the very first team that we had was mainly made up of players from the Greenville area and therefore we used the same nic name associated with the high school there. That was 7 years ago and as we grew and expanded we just decided to keep the name because it caught on.

As for how Greenville got the nic name GreenWave well I have to admit that I have no idea. I am originally from NY and that name was given to the high school way before I got there. Maybe it's like the Tulane Wave. No surfing going on there either.

From a little surfing I have done... many teams that took the name Wave is due to the crowd doing the "Wave" during the game. It might be a good search to see if the fans did the "wave" as a tradition in the past (in "Green"ville) and if one of the team's colors is green. That might be the answer.

HOO Explosion went undefeated at the Buckeye Showdown with wins over:
Crush (8-0)
Dragons-Pink (3-0)
Ohio Xtreme (12-0)
Dragons-Pink (3-0)
MC Madness (1-0, not sure whether this was red or black team)

14U Maddogs are 45-7-1. This weekend we went 4-1 at 16U. Kudos to Doom and HOO they are very good, solid teams with excellent coaching.

Finished 2nd at GAPPS last week and then went 4-1 at 16u Buckeye Showdown this week

Beat - Crush - 7-1, Turbos - 8-0, Elite - 3-0, VE forfeit - 7-0 and lost to Kaos who won the tourney - 5-3.

Playing 16u this wkd in Toledo and then Eastern Nationals
