There are no "no brainers" in fastpitch. ANYONE can beat ANYONE on any given day. We've beat the best and lost to the worst.

Do any of these teams have a chance to pull off what Lasers Gold was able to achieve last year?

First time it's ever been done and now you want to have it happen 2 years in a row. Ask anyone with last years Gold team and they will tell you there is a lot of luck, not just talent and great coaching involved in having a special season like that.

Thanks "Snake". I have no idea where this group stacks up now , been together only 5months. They're a hard working group .They'll be special in time as long as I don't screw it up.

Yeah i think alot of us would like to see Ohio do it twice in a row....no pressure.

Sibling rivalry within the Lasers org? Are you with the Gold team or the Scarlett? No one is discounting the tremendous accomplishment the Gold acheived but to say it can't be one again??Geeze

I am anxious to see how the Diamond Chix 13u Blue does this year, they finished strong last year. A couple new players we'll have to see how it plays out.

My DD plays with the gold. No rivaly here I would love for another team from the laser family or any team from Ohio to make it back to back national championships. I was simply trying to be realistic about how it takes a lot of luck along with great talant and great coaching. Good luck to all ohio teams.

We live in Sioux Falls (moved here from Columbus) and hope to see several Ohio teams here in July for ASA nationals. DD's team will try to qualify as well, but it won't be easy.

The Chicago Chill is not a Ohio team. Nice try to promote your team though

Chill is based out of North Central Ohio regardless of the Illinois on their namplate. On top of that 75 percent of the girls are Ohio girls so in my opinion that makes them an Ohio team

So do Pa, West Virginia, and the state up north but we dont include them. Maybe we could start a surronding states poll for these teams.

Hasn't it always been where the organization is based out of not where the coach lives. If it was percentage of Ohio girls we wouldn't also include other teams ?

Good question....especially with the Chill. Their website has them listed as Chill Gold 14u. We all know that their "parent" org. is from Illinois. Do they even train in Illinois? The roster has 2 girls from PA and 1 from Maryland and 1 from Delaware....rest are from all over Ohio.

Heck at one point, the Beverly Bandits were deep with Ohio players but then again, those girls drove to Chicago to practice.

Quite frankly, i don't get the impression the Chill gives a **** if they are mentioned in these polls....that team is NOW about showcasing.

My opinion, since this is a 14u preseason poll (not top ten teams in Ohio), let people mention them if they think they are worthy. let the haters hate

Not a hater at all just stating what was the norm in the past that's all. I'm sure they are a good team. Never seen them play..
