How does the Rockettech perform in cooler weather? If you had to choose one bat to use from March until September, which bat would you use?

On the weather conditions you have to check the individual bat manu. Some suggest not below 50 degrees.

I'm pretty sure the Rockettech is only supposed to be used when it's 60 or above.

cold weather isn't as bad as wet weather. the cold only increases the balls compression. Wet increases the force the ball has on the bat and does some major damage to bats.

cold is OK (within reason), wet is not.

I know someone selling 2004 Rocketech bats for $175. Is this a good deal, he had about 6-8 left in different sizes.

I picked up a Easton Synergy at the Spano Dome two weeks ago. It is a great bat. My DD and the other girls love it.
We will be looking at some of the other bats over the winter. Thanks for all the information and web sites.

Wicked Insanitys are great bats to use, but again you have to hit the ball in the sweet part of the bat for it to go any where. I just recently purchased a Demarini F2 and I think it is a great bat to use and on my opinion if you just connect with the ball it is gone. I love the Demarini F2 bat and by far is the best bat I have owned.

I was just wondering if anyone here on this forum has actually used both the o4 Andersron Rocket Tech and the 05 Anderson Rocket Tech? I was wanting some first hand input on the comparison between the two? I know the 04 model is amazing!!

What are the main differences between the RocketTech and Synergy bats, and are both HS approved?

I'm thinking of purchasing a FP105 Air Warrior by Louisville Slugger. My DD is a 12U and i'm probably looking for a 31 or 32/19.5 or 20 maximum.
The Easton Stealth's, Rockettech's, OKC's do not come below 21 0r 22oz. Does anybody have any personal experience with this bat?
Is it end loaded or balanced?
Is it worth the money or what bat would be recommended for a younger player avg size.

Thanks,

Rampid,
I'm a dedicated batting coach. For a younger 12U, average size, I recommend staying at 31", especially if she has any kind of coaching that is helping her develop a proper swing. A -11 or -12 is often appropriate for this age and size.

If you live anywhere near the Dayton/Cincinnati area, there is a bat factory in Springboro which sells blemished versions of the Rawlings LiquidMetal bat for half price. This is a great savings potential on an above-average bat if a -11 suits you. It is called Custom Bat Works.

Details:
Jerry Salyers runs the outlet store -- he's very friendly and helpful. They are open from roughly 9:00 - 5:00 weekdays, 9-3 Saturdays, 1-3 Sundays, but call first, toll free at 1-888-228-2891 (1-888-batbuy1). Jerry might flex his hours to meet your needs if you ask.

Address: 200 S. Pioneer Blvd. Springboro, OH 45066

Directions: From Cincinnati, take I-75 north to Exit 38, which is route 73. Turn right to go East. Just past Kroger, turn right onto Pioneer. Go down a ways, and just past a big baseball field with lights (Brandt Field), turn right into their driveway. You'll see the outlet store to the right of the factory, meaning straight up the driveway.

If you go there, please tell Jerry Coach Dan sent you to him. (I am not associated with them and don't get a kick-back.)

The Rawlings Liquidmetal is excellent, and a 33/22 size is likely to work great for the stronger high school players, 32/21 for average ones, and 31/20 for less strong grade school youngsters. Be sure you get the Fastpitch version -- it says fastpitch on it. If it's not a -11, it's for baseball or slowpitch.

My 12u DD swings a 33/21 TPS Platinum and the ball jumps off of it. She has swung a 33/22 and crushes the ball with it also. Both these bats are balanced and she is comfortable with them.
I had the opportunity to get her a 33 or a 32 Rockettech at a great price but after swinging it she thought it was to heavy. These bats are the same weight and size but the Rockettech is end loaded and feels heavier. Bottom line find a bat she is comfortable with and her confidence will grow making her a better hitter. The most popular bat won't solve a confidence problem or mistake in her swing. JMHO
