Signing Letter of Intent

Please don't berate me for this thread. This isn't meant to turn into a DI vs NAIA etc.
I would just like to know the process when a girl signs with a college.
I have seen that it's done at the high school of the recruit. *Does the high school coach HAVE to be present?
*Is the college coach present?
*What exactly is in this letter that is being signed?
*Does it have to be on a certain day of the week?
*Are others (travel coaches, etc.) allowed to attend?
*Are both parents required to be there?
*How is the signing set up? Does the AD/high school at the school need to get in contact with the college or does the college contact the AD/high school coach?

I'm just wondering!

There is no need for any kind of formality(ceremony) for a signing.

I know the college coach is NOT allowed to be there if the signing occurs off campus.

Some HS's make it very ceremonial. ?Some don't. ?Some do it after the Spring signings.

My daughter signed hers at our kitchen table, and we put it in the mail the next day. ?Her HS is having a ceremonial signing day in February sometime for those athletes that did early signings.. ?We saved a copy of the letter for that ceremony only.
