Silver Creek 2008’s Tryout information:
Head Coach Frank Magno has coached various softball teams over the past 10 years and is going into his 4th year coaching the Silver Creek 2008 team. Coach Brown coached little league baseball for 15 years prior to coaching fast pitch softball for various age groups for the past 7 years. He is beginning his 3rd year assisting in coaching the 2008 Silver Creek team with Coach Magno. Coach Magno and coach Brown continually work on their professional development through various clinics and training sessions.
For the 2021 season we will have a current elite college player assisting our team. We also have commitments from college coaches, speed and strength trainers etc. to expand on our player development. We will continue to practice locally on various fields located throughout Lawrence county and call the premier indoor facility in the area, RAW Athletics in Edinburg, PA our home during inclement weather and during the winter season. RAW Athletics provides our players/team a major advantage.
We have a talented returning core group of players and we are looking for coachable athletes with a high level of commitment and positive attitude to join our team. All positions are encouraged to try out.
Due to Covid-19 pushing our season into mid-August we will not have a traditional tryout this season. Instead we will offer private tryouts via appointment.
