Did you ask for the change or did the TD put you in "A". We are sanctioned as a 10U "B" but got put in the 10U "A" pool. I'm not here to complain, but just asking. I'm actually looking forward to playing these top notch teams. It will only make us better. (Although, the whole field, A & B, looks top notch)
Thanks TC13. Actually we are right where we need to be. I forgot ASA 10U "B" is not playing with dropped 3rd strike or stealing home and all the other good stuff.
hummmmm, let's see....get off work at 4:00pm, get home at 4:20pm, hit the road at 4:30pm, 4 hr trip give or take 30 min., game time at 9:15pm........we can do this, who needs warm up time ;D
We are 2 -2.5 hours away , trying to make a 7;30 game , but you gotta be ready to take the field by 7 so it's really tough getting there for our group also. Would have been nice if there was enough local team to fill up friday instead of all these out of town teams. MD No weekend pass sucks also. MD
We're in the same boat. We are a good 1 1/2 hours away and we play at 5:45pm on Friday. I have to take off work and Friday's games will probably get rained out. I wonder if all of the parents will get a rain-check on their $5 if we do not play Friday because of rain. I would hate for their families to pay $5 bucks and not see their kids play.
Let's see:
$50 - gas for big, big van
$90 - for hotel
$40 - Dinner
$10 - gate fees
$250 - money wife and dd spends at the mall because we got rained out.
$440 - for nothing
Oh yeah add $30 for some cold...er..refreshments at Hooters to help me get through the weekend
blazer441 - there is a ferry close by (Anderson Ferry). Maybe some local Cincinnati people could help us out-of-towners know if this is a good way to go between the two parks.
I posted this on the other sluggerfest thread but don't want it missed ---If any 10u "A" division team can switch us and go to "B" we would greatly appreciate it . Scioto Co Wild Thangs 10's . These girls playing "b" would bore them them to tears. MD
I think the problem with the Anderson Ferry is you are back tracking to get to Rumpke park. I used to live in Cleves, which is close to both places depending with direction. The Ferry is actually coming past the Rivershore fields on the Ohio side and further from Rumpke as well. You are better off going 275 to both destinations. The way I know to Rumpke from Rivershore is 275 towards Indiana, then get on I-74 then off at the Miamitown exit and then Left on 128 to the ball fields. It is a little of a drive, and not sure what MapQuest has given for directions.
