MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Sophomore Meghan Fretz had an epic performance Monday afternoon at Bethel to toss her first college no-hitter to guide the Forester softball team to a 4-0 win in the opener before coming up short in the nightcap 6-2.
After taking down the Pilots in order through the first four frames, Fretz's perfect game was broken up by a dropped fly in the fifth. The only other mishap of her no no was a hit batsman in the seventh as she didn't give up a walk while striking five of the 21 batters she faced.
