ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.—Rochester College head softball coach Tai Sharpley is pleased to announce the signing of Logan Medel.

Medel inked with RC and will join the team after graduating this spring. Medel is prepping at Oxford High School in Oxford, MI where she is a two-sport star earning five varsity letters in softball (3), and basketball (2).

Servings as the Wildcats middle infielder Medel, enjoyed a successful junior season hitting .294 with an on-base percentage of .358, and 24 RBIs. In the field, Medel had an outstanding fielding percentage of .968. Medel played a big role on the team and helped lead them to be District Champs.

Off the field, Medel has worked extremely hard in the classroom and has been on the honor roll all four years at Oxford High School.

Medel comes from a baseball/softball family as her grandfather, Armando, played minor league baseball in Mexico.

Coach Sharpley on Logan:

"Logan is a great addition to our program. She's a very solid middle infielder and a true competitor with a high softball IQ. Logan is a very bright and coachable young lady that has a strong desire to succeed on and off the field. She immediately bought into what RC stands for and just it seemed like the perfect fit for both of us. I look forward to see her progress as a student-athlete over the years."
