[Softball] Ol' Red sniffs out the Bulldogs, helps Bethel split series

MCPHERSON, Kan. - The April weather has brought less than ideal conditions for KCAC softball this season, and this was no different in today's windy doubleheader. The Bethel bats let it rip in Game 1, as their three Thresher homers tied the program single-game record. Unfortunately, the McPherson Bulldogs (24-18, 9-7) were straight-up drinking "Michael's Secret Stuff" by the gallon, and hit close to .500 as a team. McPherson took Game 1, 7-6. The roles reversed in Game 2, as Rylie Scudder (JR/Little Elm, Texas) set the mound on fire. Scudder limited McPherson to just one hit through the first five innings, and went on to set a new single-game program record with 13 strikeouts (breaking the previous record of 10, set just a week ago by Madison McDowell (JR/Basehor, Kan.)). Bethel (17-20, 8-10) was able to record the victory, 4-2.
