OMG the young lady is having some fun! She returned to campus immediately after the new year and jumped into captains' practices. Learned that she was the only pitcher to work on her craft over break. She has been adding in additional workouts and pitching/hitting practices under the guidance of an upper classman who has chosen to mentor her. DD told us that this girl is an amazing infielder and hitter, really knows the game so when she told DD that she doesn't know sh** about playing, DD stepped up to the challenge. Gotta love peer pressure when it works this way.
Did her first turn at representing the team for a recruit this week and took team orders for Girl Scout cookies. Free bowling on Wednesdays so she is adding play time to study time. We cringe at the hours she keeps but are reminded of our own crazy college days.
