Was that cool or what I don't think it gets any better than that. The guy gets a HR on his 3000th hit and a walk off hit at his last home game you could not have scripted it any better. The game is not going to see many like Jeter and I am glad I got to see him play over the years.

We got to watch the replay on dvr last night. Told my daughter she witnessed something that very seldom happens.
a great player (even tho a yankee!), sure 1st rounder for hof, and he gets a walk off single. Had to feel great for him.
can't think.of too many endings like that since Tes Williams homered in his last at bat.
that was fun to watch!

You don't have to like New York but you have to like Jeter because he has always played the game the right way and the only thing you ever read in the paper about him is good and that is the way it should be he is a roll model for any kid boy or girl great time over the years watching him he will be missed.

......That would be never. If he's smart he will stay far away from coaching. Being an MLB manager is a thankless job. That's why old washed-up catchers coach. They couldn't care less.

I expect after a year or so Jeter will make some appearances (e.g. spring training), but nothing full time.

Jeter is too busy running with every top model/celebrity in New York. I can see him instructing at spring training after taking a couple years off. Itll really make me feel old watching play in his first old timers day....
