Had an excited phone call last night from one of our players who said Crystl came over to give her a few pointers while the player was hitting off of a tee. She was pretty psyched.

Hey just wanted to that this was a great expeience for the dd and myself. We enjoyed it emmensley and were glad that we did not pass on a once in a life time oppurtunity. Also it was great meeting some of the OFC'rs on here. Knights, Sb family and Hitter. I will look forward to seeing you guys at tourneys next year.

I also would like to say thanks to Jennie, Crystl, Laura and Howard for the clinic that they put on. It was much more than I expected. The Olympians were absolutley awesome in the presentation and it was also great how open they were to questions and requests. Well, it was a great experience to share with my daughter and well worth the price.

I had 3 players from my team attend and all were pumped when they left.

Howard, thanks for putting this together. I know you made some lil' girls year with bringing in Crystal and Jennie.

I know Rob was pumped too. He had several of his 16u's attend as well.

I have to say this was a very well run clinic! My dd was fourtunate to go both days, Saturday for hitting and Sunday she was asked to catch for one of the pitchers on her team. She will never forget that day! The pitching was getting started and the pitchers and catchers were all listening to Jennie she was going over her pitching style. Imagine my dd's surprise when Jennie ask for a catcher and selected my dd. She is still in disbelief that she got to catch Jennie Finch. Funny she has always said wouldn't it be cool if she could catch Jennie Finch. Who would have ever thought. Needless to say she has said over and over again THE BEST DAY OF HER LIFE!

Thank you to all the volunteers that came and worked the clinic especially at the hitting stations. We had brand new kids that had never had instruction and some college kids who had been to our clinic's before and learned more.

We hope EVERYONE enjoyed being there and took something away that they could use to help them enjoy the game of fast pitch.

Also to the parents who sat in the bleachers while not being able to get as close as we normally allow for safety reasons...I hope we answered all your questions and if you have any additional questions let me know and I will try and help you in some way.

Thank you for spending your weekend with The Gold, Silver and The Pink!

Also many of you introduced yourself as OFC people and now I have a face to go with the name...WingMan I did not not think you were that ugly so now I know why some people do not post pictures of themselves....can you imaigine if I tried to describe Boulders Dad...Just kidding Bill it was a pleasure meeting you and all the rest of the people from the OFC.

It's sometimes hard to know where to start when you need to thank a lot of people, but where everyone on the fields has a thank you for Howard and the ladies, I have to first thank Mary Ellen Bonner. For those of you who have never been involved with doing one of these clinics it would probably be hard to understand just what she does. She is to the organization of the clinic what Howard and Crystl are to the hitting. Even when she couldn't be there on Sunday (she actually got to go watch her daughter play for a chance) she made sure everyone and everything had a time and place and we all knew where and when to be there.

To the Bustos Ultimates-you all were great to work with and Cherise, the way you kept those baseball guys in check was great! By the end of the day they were just calling you "the boss lady".

Tricia-you did a great job keeping things running smoothly and keeping people in line. We would have been lost without you this weekend.

roadrunnerparent-Crystl and Jennie both said what a great time they had at dinner with your family. I'm glad you were able to make it back down in time to go. Hope your girls will remember that evening for a long time to come.

And to all the station workers-Crystl and Jennie were talking on the way to the airport this morning and Jennie asked why a clinic like this isn't done out in California. Crystl told Jennie that in order to do one like this each and every one of you would have to be taken out there because there are not enough coaches out there that she would want to work with to pull one of these off. She said she could not and would not do this without her group. Not a bad group to be a part of.

Thank you to all of you for taking the time to come out and work with the girls and help make this a great weekend. It's always a pleasure to see you all each time we do a clinic and watch the girls learn and have fun.

Howard-what can I say but to repeat you are THE BEST!! You continue to impress and amaze me with your skill and dedication. Where would we be without you! And just think, now we can turn you garage into "The Howard Carrier hitting school and custom shirt painting" Thanks for getting Coach B to come. It was great to see him again.

Also have to say thank you to all the people who helped keep up with Crystl, Jennie and Laura. Jenni, Amy and of course Military Marie Crystl said you all are on the top of the list to be called for all future clinics, but Jennie said you can't keep her out playing cornhole that late next time!

Ronda-thanks for driving the workers back and forth to the parking lot Saturday.

And of course have to say a huge thank you to Gary for being on driving and Medal duty all weekend. I like having a weekend where we ladies get to tell you what to do and you are willing to do it-lol

Looking forward to the next clinics!

First....Thanks to Crystl, Jennie and Laura. You made a dream come true for my daughter! The words of wisdom, helpful hints, encouragement, etc. was wonderful. This was a wonderful opportunity for her and she's so glad that she was permitted to be a part of it.

What an amazing experience! My daughter learned so much in a short period of time. I would like to say a BIG thank you to Howard! He took her aside and spent about five minutes adjusting how she swings...I was shocked at the difference it made! She has always had power in hitting, but the slight change he made was unbelievable!!

I would also like to thank Coach Berlew for his help in allowing my daughter to try the new bats that Howard had available. She's in the market for a new bat and I think she has decided upon one. Thanks so very much for taking the extra time at the end of the clinic to do soft toss while she tried out several bats....several times! LOL

Also, a big thanks to "Lady Knights" for offering to help continue reinforcing what she has learned. Making a trip to Cincinnati for lessons isn't really possible with her busy schedule. Her classes have to come first. Trust me Coach Y. she will be calling you soon to continue what has been started!

Lastly, a big thanks to everyone who was helping out at the clinic. Everyone was so nice and tried to help whenever possible. I've always thought of the "softball world" as a big family..this past weekend just proved how much it really is.

Thank God your daughter looks like her Mother...and listens to her Father when it comes to hitting as she listens to her Uncle Howard as to exactly how to do it to please her Father Larry The Cable Guy.

Thanks for being there Tim and Brit!

Howard, we have said it so many times over the past few weeks, you are the best! You will never fully understand what you mean to Ashley and I think that if she could she would come down and move in with you!Your confidence in her has done wonders. Not only do you know how to teach hitting, you are a great person. ANYONE who gets the chance to go to one of Howards clinics, do not pass it up. The best clinic we have ever been to. Thanks to everyone who put in hours and hours to turn out an awesome clinic.

We just try to help....Marcia got the bat and got Jennie, Crystl and Berggie to sign it. She is your daughter and is special and we are trying to help her with her issue of seeing the ball better.

We are happy to help!

To Candi,
The Ladies said to tell you that the coffee was a big help. Jennie said after the late night Corn Hole games it really helped keep her focused. And Thank You for all of the photo runs. So the girls could get pictures signed.

Thank you Les for sharing with the rest of the community your pictures...we had a great time with everyone that attended and shared a lot of ideas with each other.

There was one father that admitted he was teaching his daughter to squish the bug and was brave enough to come up and explain why he believed it was a better way. Crystl had him throw the ball to the wall about 80 feet away and he hit it about 12 foot high. Then she asked him to squish the bug and throw it and he did not hit the wall.

Then I had him do the ball in the hand drill and throw it or I mean use his hitting motion or wow it is similar! I stood next to him so he could not rotate his foot or hip and he used a hitting motion and hit the wall....he said this is better and thanked us and we thanked him for being brave enough to stand up when no other father wanted to stand up for their beliefs as to why they think squishing the bug works better.

The parents make it fun when they interact with us and make it measurable and observable and how can we test to see which way works best.

It was interesting talking with the parents on why some coaches teach what they teach after they were seeing for themselves it was not working.

We kept preaching to the kids to be respectful of their coaches however to ask them why and see if they could explain it. If you believe in something you should be able to explain why or how it works!

To the dad we had with the shoulder up against the wall....are you still trying to raise your left foot? Thanks for playing along and helping the others to understand weight transfer.

Howard
