I know that the umpires are part of the field but what happens if a fielder turns to make a play on the ball and runs into the umpire? and in the same situation, had she not ran into the umpire she would have had the chance to make a play (catch a pop fly)

I’ve seen it called, never had to call it on myself knock on wood. Most of the time it happens when a catcher is trying to throw a runner out on the bases. And get tangled up with the PU, when attempting to throw.
The runner are just returned to there bases.

There are only two cases where you can call umpire interference, and this isn’t one of them.

It is umpire interference if: A batted ball hits an umpire before passing an infielder, or; If on a steal or pick off play, the plate umpire impedes the catcher’s attempt to retire a runner.

Otherwise, if a player runs into an umpire, or a thrown ball accidentally hits an umpire, then it’s “nothing”. Live ball, play on, get what you get.
