USSSA - Great Lakes National Championships - July 19-23, 2017.
USSSA - 2017 Great Lakes Region - "Odd Year" National Championships.
RVBFY Sports Complex - Marion 43302. Preferred format is 3 games seeding into a double-elimination bracket (5 g/g).
Age Groups offered: 9u, 11u, 13u, 15u. Teams can play "up" if they like. Example a 10u team can enter the 11u division, 12u can enter the 13u division, etc.
Entry fee is $550 and must be entered online here: Great Lakes National Championships - Odd Year Age Group.
Teams can enter now before they start there qualifying season. Teams should check with their state director to make sure they meet eligibility requirements. Ohio USSSA will permit teams to enter if they play in 2 events and states with 15u being eligible to enter if they participate in 1 event.
Pitching distances are 9u = 35', 11u = 40' 13u & 15u = 43'. Metal spikes can be worn in 13u & 15u age divisions.
USSSA - Odd Year rules are that the teams must be the same year or younger. Example: For 2017 all girls with 2007 birthdays or younger are 9u, 2005 birthdays or younger are 11u, 2003 birthdays or younger are 13u & 2001 or younger are 15u. Teams with one player that puts them over the limit do have the option to release that player for the tournament to make them age eligible, The player can be added back when the event is over if that option is chosen.
