USSSA - 2017 Open - National Championship Qualifier (NCQ) for 10u, 11u, 12u, 14u, & High School (16/18u) teams.
Martens Park - Lancaster 43130. Preferred format is 3 games seeding into single-elimination bracket play.
This event will start on Friday evening at 5:30 pm. Event can work around scheduling conflicts with teams. Please contact TD for help.
Also note: We are offering a straight 11u division. Teams to be eligible for this must have girls's who birth years are 2005 or younger as that is the 11u requirements for 2017. If there is not enough turn out in 11u, those teams will be entered in the 12u division. We will run separate with 6 teams in each. This 11u age group would be a great place for a stronger 10u team to "play up" before the season ends.
We will also feature a "High-School" division for 16 & 18u teams. There will be qualifying berths for the top teams in each age group and if we get 6 teams each, then we will run as separate 16u and 18u divisions.
This event has everything you need to get in a quality event before the season ends.
This is an USSSA - 2017 qualifying event open to 10u, 11u, 12u, 14u, & 16u/18u teams: Top 2 teams will pick up berths to the National Championships. 2016 National Championship locations are listed here: 2016 USSSA National Championships link. 2017 links will be updated once the website has been updated. Many of the 2016 dates will be repeat dates in 2017. Check back around October 1, 2016 for updates on Nationals.
USSSA does offer "odd year" age classes: Teams that classify as odd year (9/11/13/15) must have all girls with the same birth year or younger. If more than 2 odd year teams participate in a traditional age group bracket, there will be a odd year National berth offered to the highest finishing team. If we can get enough to create separate pool play, than we will group those teams in the odd year pool. Teams will be placed in traditional bracket play to determine a tournament champion. This year the USSSA Great Lakes - "Odd Year" National Championships are in Marion, OH July 19-23, 2017.
Entry fee is $425 plus $35 USSSA - 2017 registration fee if not already registered. We can take a $100 deposit to hold spots but this must be paid in full 14 days out or we will move to the waiting list. If you need to register, please click here: USSSA Team Registration Info. TEAMS CAN ENTER WHILE THEIR REGISTRATION IS PENDING. This event sold out last year, so get your info in quickly.
PLEASE NOTE: USSSA STARTS THEIR SANCTION SEASON OVER AGAIN ON AUG 1. TEAMS WILL NEED TO SANCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 8/1/16 THRU 7/31/17. TEAMS WILL ALSO NEED TO BE AGE-ELIGIBLE FOR THE AGE GROUP THEY ARE PLAYING DURING 2017. EXAMPLE: A 14u TEAM IN 2016 MOVING TO 16u FOR THE 2017 SEASON WOULD HAVE TO PLAY IN 16u IN USSSA FALL TOURNAMENTS.
