The Valley Extreme uses nine groomed fields for our ASA Eastern National Qualifier, and we dedicate fields to age groups. The Candlelite Knolls Complex has four groomed fields with all fields there having tarps in case of bad weather, and two of the fields have newly installed Musco Lighting. And "best" of all our 4 game tournament is one of the cheapest around at $350!!!! In these economic times why not sign up for a reputable organization like the Valley Extreme, one that has had numerous tournaments since 2000, and has the lowest entry fee in Northeast Ohio.

If you have any questions give me a call.

P.S. Candlelite Knolls and the Valley Extreme have also been awarded the 14U ASA State tournament.

We use "nine" ballfields and "six" of our fields already have ~200' fixed fences, and a 7th field has a fence at ~250'. The two fields that do not have fences are where we play the 10U and some 12U games.

Plus our entry fee is only $350!!!!!

This Valley Extreme JUNE tournament is over "10" years old, and used to be run as an NSA event. We have listened and now it is the same tournament, but now ASA!!!!! This event ALWAYS draws 50+ teams, and with it being the cheapest tournament the weekend of June 3-5, 2011, at $350 we expect to again have 50+ teams.

The Valley Extreme just closed the four fields at Candlelite Knolls for the winter, and we have installed clay brick in the pitching area on three of the four fields there for next summer's play! No more of those nasty holes in front of the pitcher rubber and at your landing foot.

Come see all the 2010 improvements.....new grass sod on Field #1 & #2, Musco lighting on Fields #1 & #2, the pitching area clay bricks, and we reseeded the foul lines on Fields #3 & #4. And lastly we have removed "ALL" of the infield to outfield lips on all four fields....

Our ENTRY FEE is $350!!!! We award great looking team trophies and individual tropies to the 1st and 2nd place finishers in all age groups. We save each team $75 vs. other higher priced tournaments. With 50+ teams and 5 age groups, that saves the other 40+ teams in the softball community greater than $3,000. We offer a great tournament at one of the nicest complexes at a "VERY" economical price.

So teams if you want to save ~$75 against other tournaments than come and play at the Valley Extreme ASA ENQ, and if you are planning on qualifing for the ENQ I'm sure you already have the entry fee figured into you team's budget.

Some tournaments seem to be upset that we are only charging $350 for our ASA ENQ. We really don't care what other tournaments charge! If they want to charge more that's fine, our fee remains $350. We are proud that we can offer this rate to the travel ball circuit.

You get the following from the Valley Extreme.

1. 10 year tournament reputation
2. 7 of the 9 fields used have fences
3. 4 of the 9 fields have tarps
4. 2 of the 9 fields have lights
5. 50+ teams choose this tournament year after year
6. Team trophies to 1st & 2nd place finishers
7. Individual trophies to 1st and 2nd place finishers
8. Yes this is an organizational fundraiser so we do charge $3/person. There are costs to run a tournament (ex. umpires, field rentals, ASA fee, UIC, softballs, lime, field marker paint, drying agent).

So this is the 3rd straight year we have held our entry fee at $350. You decide where you want to play our reputation speaks for itself....

See you in June!

The Valley Extreme is working with a local hotel to offer one room for the manager, a coach, or a player in need, free of charge! The team can decide who gets the "FREE" room. The only requirement is that the entire team books reservations at the hotel. As soon as we receive the deal in writing from the hotel I'll post the name of the hotel, phone number, and the key contact name.

Stay tuned......

Greg ... you mention gate fees ... how much are those per day?

Sorry, never mind ... just noticed the post above about $3/day.

Yes that's right $3/day, this has been the same fee for the past 10 years. Gate collection is the primary source of our income to run these tournament as a fundraiser. Tournaments are not free to run and there are numerous cost items involved to run them and the costs are constantly going up. Not to mention the cost of running a travel team is going up as well. That is why our entry fee is $350 (same for the past three years), and our gate is $3 (same as the last 10 years). We feel at these numbers we offer a tremendous value to "all" the teams that enter plus make a little money for our organization.

Thanks

Thanks, Greg. I was just trying to get all the info so I could do an apples to apples comparison to one of our tournaments which is the same weekend, and I had missed your recent post about the $3. I've attended your tournaments in the past, and you always run a quality one. Good luck with this next year's as well!

OK I’ll answer your questions as to how can the Valley Extreme only charge $350 year after year!

We have a secret recipe….

• Our 10 year reputation is at stake!
• We changed from NSA to ASA
• We have a GREAT relationship with Candlelite Knolls and we DO NOT need to pay for field rentals
• We have a GREAT relationship with the city of Cortland & Township of Bazetta…..so fields are free there as well due to our tournaments bringing revenue into the area
• We work closely with the local recreational organization “Lakeview Athletic Club” to work around our dates for field availability
• We raise money by assisting in running the concession stand
• We have four fields with tarps so our expense for field dry is very low
• Most of our fields have fences so we do not need to pay for temporary fences
• We quantity price things like softballs, lime, and tournament t-shirts
• Great relationship with Region’s ASA representative to assist with umpire and UIC expenses
• We raise money from gate collection…..most years we do not collect gate if Friday night games are required, and typically close down the gate after each team has played one game on Saturday and Sunday (~2:00 p.m.)

All of these things allow us to keep our entry fee as one of the “LOWEST” in the area. We believe most teams look at a few elements in making their decisions….entry fee, the complex, number of games, location, reputation, and is the tournament a college exposure showcase.

See you all in June!

We have a hotel that is offering a complimentary room for the team (ex. manager, coach, player in need, or just reduce your team travel budget). If you apply it to you team budget then our entry fee of $350 would be reduced to $210. NOW THERE IS NOBODY THAT CAN BEAT THAT!!!!! So out of town teams sign up early while rooms are still available....call me and I'll let you know the hotel!

See you in June!
