Hadn't thought about it much ......till this past weekend. Had a couple of parents from another team that chose to camp out in prime viewing area when their team wasn't playing. Wifey even asked Hubby " Are we moving so they can get in " He said "No", so she sat there doing needlepoint and he dozed during our game. Complained some that foul balls to the fence were interupting his nap. Kicker is , their team wasn't even playing next ! Our parents had to sit behind them. At least they had on Red and Black. :lmao:

But the next team coming in was Black and Blue !

:) Yeah. They moved just before the game started. Packed up and I think left. Just in time for us to get rained on! :(

I had seen it before, but with that little bit of spectator space, I was actually surprised that they stayed.

Hate when that happens.
CALL them out Greg, what team were they with?
It's up to coaches to explain to the parents field etiquette. If we start calling them out maybe they will enlighten their fans so they don't look like a loser organization. What do you think? ;& :lmao:

If I had a nickel for every parent who said their pitching DD (or every pitching coach who said their student) threw 58-60, I'd be a very rich man. I can't say it really peeves me any more ... I just have to shake my head and laugh. Were they maybe standing next to a freeway when they got gunned, or do you just add on 5-10 for rounding error?

Good thing. I think "IceMom26" (not a real screen name ) would have been all up in their grill. She wasn't too happy about it when I explained the situation to her. :lmao:

Good luck to you guys the rest of the season !

Mine could almost hit 52, but to make her pitches look faster, she always made sure she had a strong wind at her back! ;)

I had to laugh about an NSA ump a few weeks ago.......The question was " Does NSA allow you to use the same pinch runner twice for two different people in the same inning" ?

Response - You have to use the same runner each time.....

So now what do we do that our pitcher and catcher are both on the base ?

Boy did he have a confused look on his face......little wayne just turned around and walked away.....lol

Parents who can call balls and strikes from thier chair sixty feet away, tied with parents that feel it appropriate to make negative comments about someone elses child they need to grow up and not talk.

While coaching first base in the finals this past weekend, it took all i had to refrain a comeback from a parent calling my daughter "a whiffer" during her at bat.

Here is a couple reasons why i let it go.......
  1. im not so sure she knew what a whiffer was as she didnt strike out during that game
  2. I was on the field and cant break my own rule of when your between the lines you ignore the crowd.
  3. We were winning
  4. i really think she was trying to impress the other hot moms and didnt expect me to hear it......
  5. and then the whiffer beat out a bunt and moved the runners......
Whiff this ! is what i felt like saying.....:D

Love it! She maintained her composure, though! I think they saw the faces and just got the message.

As for calling out a team, not that we would, but I personally couldn't tell who they were with when we got there!

Umpiring crews that make your team look exactly alike, and then the next crew doesn't care what the girls look like. Of course that's after you made sure all your girl's look alike and your team is the first to point out that the other team doesn't match. This was at ASA State.

When people say GOOD EYE on a pitch that was in the dirt or over the catchers head and the girl doesn't swing! Also, when the parents cheer for a girl who makes it to 1st on an over throw!:)

They may be cheering the hustle. Some girls don't go all out if it looks like a routine play.
