I can remember like it was yesterday...shopping at the Gold Circle late in 76...I bought the Eagles Hotel California and the debut album of a band named Boston. Nothing like my teenage years when I was an all out head banger...lol

Just tried it and worked. Anyway Rollins Band-Liar video..awesome!

Played the video for my DD - her only qusetion was "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT AND WHY ARE YOU WATCHING IT" and a scornful look - I think she must take after her grandmother - she used to give me that same look.
She just dont get it - Man

That's funny! I laid awake last night for a minute thinking about him. It was mentioned that he would have been a good Neegan on TWD. I was trying to think of all kinds of movies or shows where he would have been a good fit!!

So since I already hijacked Mike Dyers Thread and Poden chastised me for it here's this -

For you younger viewers - An album was a vinyl disc that contained music similar to a CD but bigger
For you even Younger a CD was a digital music format like Itunes.

So What was your first Album, CD or Music down load?

Mine was Kiss Destroyer

... Dang - That album cover sure seemed cooler when I was 13

I am only admitting this to give people a good laugh (plus I know I am not the only woman out there who got this record). My first album was Shaun Cassidy (his self titled album). It wasn't mine alone- I had to share it with my sisters as it was a present. Yes, I know this is lame. I am going one step further to admit that not only did I have this album, my grandparents got me, my twin sister and our sister who is 15 months older all pastel pants that had Shaun Cassidy's picture airbrushed down the leg. One got pink pants, one baby blue and one lavender. Even though we liked Shaun Cassidy we didn't like him enough to wear the pants (sorry grandma). We all wore them once (our parents made us) when our grandparents came over to visit. It was a sight.

Other than that, we really didn't buy any albums as we never really had the extra money. We were content using the tape recorder our grandpa gave us to record songs from the radio. We were making mix tapes way before they were cool. I remember the first one we made after getting the tape recorder had Crocodile Rock and Baker Street on it- don't remember many of the other songs.

The J. Geils Band - Freeze Frame album 1982. Only bought a few albums as cassettes were coming on strong in the early 80s. Was the only way to blast my music in my new "Boom Box"

I liked J Giels - Saw them at somepoint in the early 80's with the Kinks - I think it was the "Give the prople What They Want" tour it would have been '81, '82 Had all there records

I don't remember what year, but I remember the trip to the store like it was yesterday. I bought Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III at the same time at Peaches Records in Toledo. I couldn't wait to get home to drop the needle!!
