When is it too cold?

Part of the problem is that it is so subjective. Temperature isn't a very good indicator. Last Thursday we played and the temp was in the low 40s but it was sunny and little wind. It was pretty darn pleasant. On Friday, it was 5 to 10 degrees warmer but there was no sun and a howling wind. I can't remember ever being that cold in my life. Last night the wind was down and I thought it was playable. Another factor is that we already are backed up with make-up games. My guess is that if we didn't already have so many games canceled/postponed we probably wouldn't have played last night.

It's a darn shame your AD put you in that spot. However, the UIC has control after the game starts. He/She should have called the darn thing after the first pitch given those conditions.

Oh, I agree. I kind of expected it. It didn't happen and I was so happy that I didn't get complaints the next day about broken or cracked bats. LOL

If it's sunny and 35 and not too windy in the middle of the day, it's not that bad. If you are sitting on metal bleachers not moving...yikes it's cold!
