When should you send college coaches highlight videos or skill videos?

When should you send college coaches highlight videos or skill videos? What time of the year will you have more success on getting your skill video watched by college coaches?

I’ve heard conflicting opinions. Now is good because college coaches have plenty of time to look at it. A D1 coach at a camp this fall told the girls that first impressions are important; it’s better to wait if you are trying to improve a weakness. Others say you need to get on a coach’s radar screen early. I don’t know...

Coaches love training videos. I have heard from many that they can see a lot in a 1 min hitting video or a 2 min pitching video. If you can show progression update them every year. It will never hurt to have more video available for the coach to see. Post on YouTube and send out the link to schools you are interested in. Send heavy in the late summer and early fall. Winter will yield some looks as well.
