Our team had a goal of qualifying for ASA or PGF and ending our season at a major event. Being a new 14u team from scratch, at a younger organization, we new it would not be easy. We were able to do that due to the players and families buying into our plan, being patient, and playing as a "team". We went about .500 in the fall figuring out what we had/needed, then came back from school ball to go 26-9 so far earning opportunities at both ASA Easterns and PGF Midwesterns, choosing to go to PGF Midwesterns.

Could not be prouder of the players and coaches for catching a little lightning in a bottle and playing very solid, respectable, ball against some good established teams/orgs this summer. We know teams looked right past us at times, and we just kept even and determined and it shows if you watch us play.

We hope to represent Ohio well at PGF Midwesterns in Peoria Il July 28-31.

So, where is everyone else going to represent Ohio?

Ohio Stingrays 04 just arrived in Panama City Beach for the USFA Mizuno World Series. Looks like we will maybe face off against some of the teams that we saw at last years ASA/USA Nationals. Hopefully we get some beautiful weather and play some good ball down here! Go Rays!

Tom,
We had the chance to play your team this summer and we lost 5-4. You have an outstanding team and I wish you luck at the PGF event. Im sure you will do well.

We considered playing in the PGF Midwest Regional, but due to some hotel location issues, we elected to go to a different national tourney. We will be going to ASA A Northern in Mt. Pleasant MI next week along with few other Ohio teams;
Buckeye Heat '01-Hill, OFC Heat Black and Cinci Doom '01-Barnes.

Looking forward to having some fun in Michigan and representing Ohio to the best of our ability.
Good luck in Peoria, Tom. I think we played your team Sunday at 9:30 m this last week at GAPSS.

We ended in Myrtle Beach at the WFC Nationals. It was a great experience for our girls with lots of time together on and off the field. Competition was tough and we faced a number great teams from around the country. I would definitely recommend it.

Chris,
Yes we played your girls at GAPSS, we spotted you 6 in the first, made it 6-5, but could not make up the early deficient. Very competitive game, great job winning the tournament.

Good luck in MI.
