Hey we are stirring the pot up pretty good, aren't we? I thought the threads were getting a little stale, especially with JoeA in the Bahamas, uh I mean Paris, and wanted to provoke some thoughts. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

I play travel ball, and I dont play to help me get better for high school. I want to go on and play in college and I know my high school team wont help me get where I want to go. I also love the game of softball so why not play travel ball.

1 love of the game
2 friends
3 Competition
4 chance to play college ball ( yes she is getting letters, visits, invites to visit campus )
5 better coaching coaches from opposing teams have been willing to give tips, help her repair equipment how many high schools would do that probably very few likely frequent posters on this site
6 more games, with better weather
7 mini vacations chance to see different areas
8 moved her to travel ball because she showed some talent wanted to avoid her hurting rec ball players with line drives
I have warned other coaches to be make sure their players are awake when she comes to bat
I moved her to 18U, may get her a rockettech, assume the D players in travel ball are big girls probably will not let her use it in high school ball

DD playing high school ball to stay game ready for travel ball

Where else can a girl play the best players from surrounding states and other countries?

I enjoy the time we spend together at the ballpark and on the road.

Most travel parents and players are very pleasant, fun to be around, they know the hours and minor injuries all girls have endured to play travel ball
