The two Kirkland teams had to drop out due to injuries and other aspects. I am only taking the amount of teams I have a number spot in each division.

I have heard from many who are trying to come from far distances and make the arrangements to do so first before entering.

The Wilmington teams are sadly having to drop out of the tournament due to their league tournament is that weekend. ?They had entered a 12u and a 10u. ?They said they would meet up with you in Goshen in August.

Thank you Tealtown Thunder for the 10u entry. Should just make a little tournament of your teams playing each other....lol.. just kidding.

The Tealtown Cobra's would like to enter in the 16u roster rec tournament. The Cobra's plans have changed so they are able to attend. Please contact Rusty Woods as soon as possible.

The thing is that SOFGA, a softball organization in this area, decided ?the last minute to have their league tournament the same weekend. ?Actually, you can see by the list that some of the SOFGA teams aren't going to their league tournament and coming to Wilmington for this tournament.....

So if you are a SOFGA team on the bubble..... you need to make a decision because I will be closing off the tournament registrations very soon. ?I have an elite tournament going on at the same time and if it rains this weekend.. like they are calling for... and being it is a World Series Qualifier... they are going to be looking for a place to play to get that berth (s) .

I only have so much space and ?time.

I'd jump in before they fill those slots if I was a rec team. ?Just advising everyone.

The tournament is separate... but the space and time available is still the same.

The East Clinton Astros and the Wilmington team in 12u Rec moved to the Elite "B" division of the NSA World Series Qualifier tournament in Wilmington.

Have heard from other 12u as well in the rec....

A few. Some All-Star Rec 12u jumped up and is playing 12UB Elite (listed in the NSA Tournament section) in Wilmington. But, understand.. you jump up there... if two more "A" are not found in the 12u Elite... the "A" and "B" is mixed for the round robin.

My suggestion honestly, is to hang in the 12 rec as I think there are more coming and Wilmington might be dropping back from 12u Elite "B" to rec.

Thanks for the response. I help coach the 10u, but I help with the 12u on occasion also. The will stay where you have them, I was just wondering how the interest is going. Our 10u bracket looks excellent.

After a long weekend of softball umpiring, I am back and have added new names to the list of teams entered into the tournament.

I have lights in Wilmington. I want all teams to realize that in Wilmington, Ohio we play ball. If there is an afternoon heating rain storm... we will get the diamonds ready and we will play to catch up for returning to the normal Sunday schedule. This mean be prepared to play late in the evening or night to catch up games. I do not do the shortening of the tournament just because it rains. Too many are coming in from out of town to play this tournament and I will not disappoint them by shortening the scheduled games.

Be prepared to play ball... no matter the time of day.... if we are rained delayed by afternoon rains due to the heating of the day.

I will be posting the new teams right now.

Tournament is open until Tuesday at 7:00 pm Schedules will be sent to coaches and posted here on Wednesday morning.

16 rec teams: Don't get worried. The Gene Harvey tournament director is getting in touch with the 16u teams he had in his tournament. Bob Deen is his name and he entered his team in the 14u elite division and is contacting the 16 u rec teams today to get them to come to Wilmington......

Just got confirmation this weekend. The Sudden Death 9U team will NOT be able to make the tournament due to a few of his girls going on vacation. The Sudden Death 12U (Black) WILL be there.

We are opening the 14u division up as four major tournaments dropped play and if they want to come here to Wilmington so the girls can play... then we shall try to accomodate them.

In the 16u play.... I am dividing it to two divisions.

Elite (NON Sanctioned Tournament) ? ?and the Rec we have now.

I have answered over 60 e-mails in the last five hours from teams.

Tournament is closed to all new entries. Helicopters are under contract for drying the fields if it rains on Saturday afternoon. Be prepared to play ball when fields are dry no matter the time of day.
