Just noticed that today is the 3rd anniversary of the first wristband system I did. To date, I am proud to say that I have done about 220 systems, and have had many coaches come back for new systems or replacement wristbands. I am also proud to say that since I started donating $2 for every system to Stay in Softball about a year and a half ago, that I have donated $200 (and actually need to send Karen and Meghan another check soon!). I want to express my appreciation to both all those who have had me do a system for them, as well as to Ricky for allowing me to post here and provide a service for coaches and teams that can give them an extra edge. E-mail me at jffbaker3@gmail.com if you're interested in more information about these systems, and thanks everyone again. :)

I wanted to mention a couple of new features I developed and can now offer as the result of some coaches requesting them ...

* Some coaches don't like having to wear a wristband themselves, and would prefer a large (and easier to read) sheet that they can laminate. While I personally preferred to wear a band vs. holding a card, there seems to be a growing number of coaches who prefer the larger card and I can easily now do that option for no extra cost, plus it can actually save you a little by needing less wristbands.

* While you already get 3 sets of signs for each system, a couple of coaches have requested a 4th set (e.g., they want 2 full sets for varsity and JV teams, or travel and rec teams) and I will offer that now for an extra $5 per set.

* A couple of coaches who combined defensive plays with either offensive signs or pitch-calling signs have requested that the boxes on the players cards be colored differently to make them stand out, and I can do that now on all 3 of your sets for an extra $5 total.

* Finally, one of the things I enjoy most talking to probably more than 300 coaches over the last several years is hearing some of the strategies they like to use as well as things they do to further optimize their signs and decoys. While I obviously would never share those specifics with another coach, it has put me in a position to throw out different ideas to coaches when we talk about what they're looking to do so I can truly customize their signs to what they want. I'm definitely biased, but I truly think that between the prices I sell these systems and the advice and customization I can offer, that you're crazy to either try to do yourself or with some of the other online options! I've done some complete systems for teams that were less expensive than what they were going to pay for just the wristbands.

If interested in more information, just e-mail me at jffbaker3@gmail.com.

Dan ... thanks for the opportunity to do these for your college team. I've actually now done 3 new college teams in the last month, and updated the signs for 2 others. The only thing now is that it's making me think about college ball spring break trips to warm weather venues and I want to go watch!!

Jeff, don't think you meant Lebanon as being one of those warmer weather venues, but you are welcome to make the trek down here to cheer on Ashe. I owe you a call back. Hope to talk to you soon.

Andrew ... it's probably warmer and has less snow today than we have here! You do owe me a call, and I think there might be a good chance that I will get to see Ashe play sometime this year. Work travel has been taking me through down your way recently, and I can envision a work trip either right before or after a weekend sometime this summer!

We just completed our first week of use in Florida and the system worked very well. Just as advertised and makes stealing signs near impossible

Just an FYI ... anyone needing a system/update/wristbands in the next 3 weeks or so, please contact me no later than Thursday of this week. I am going to be traveling for work next week, and the following week I am taking a week of vacation and will be moving to a condo in the Akron area ... so I am going to be out of pocket for the last 2 weeks of April. Oh, and don't expect to reach me tomorrow afternoon or evening ... I am going to Indians opening day! :)

Haven't posted anything new here for a while ... just wanted to say that I am still doing these systems for travel, high school and college teams. I have done over 300 systems over the last 4 years for a price that makes it very affordable for coaches and teams with small budgets. And $2 has gone to Stay in Softball for every system sold for the last couple of years and am proud to say have contributed $300 to that very worthy cause.

I know a lot of you coaches are doing tryouts and getting organized for the fall season. Contact me at jffbaker3@gmail.com or 440-251-1584 with any questions.

ENDORSEMENT.....

Hi Im HITTER23, I'm a fastpitch softball coach and OFC personality, I recommend the (posing my wrist) "Coachjwb Wristband signal system". Before, we had dropped or missed signals during a game but not now with our (posing my wrist) "Coachjwb Wristband signal system". Now we dont miss a sign... So if youre having trouble getting your point across to your team, rush out and get yourself a (posing my wrist) "Coachjwb Wristband signal system" while supplies last at a major sports retail store near you. (not really, PM him here)

Dont leave the dugout without it........

Have done 7-8 systems in the last week ... going to be out of town for a few days for business, but send me an email at jffbaker3@gmail.com for more info and I should be able to catch up over the holiday weekend.

Some good news ... thanks to all of the demand many of you have helped me create over the last 4 years and some competitive pricing, I have been able to get my cost lowered on the future wristbands I buy, and starting next week I can pass that on to the coaches who buy systems and/or who need replacement wristbands. If you buy a system (which is usually around $45 for 3 sets of customized signs), I will charge just $3.50 for each wristband. Most coaches can probably get a system and the bands from me less expensively than they can just buy the wristbands for themselves.

If you've purchased a system in the last 18 months and just want replacement bands, I have to charge a little more for that to include the shipping and such, but I should be able to do those for about $4.50-$4.75/band which again would include the shipping. Contact me at jffbaker3@gmail.com for more information.

P.S. I don't normally sell bands to teams doing their own systems as I just don't make anything on them.

Thanks!

Jeff
