3P Lady Irish 09 (Toledo, Ohio)
Currently 23-11
We have currently played in 7 tournaments (3 qualifiers, 1 PGF, and Lasers Blacks Invite) Our spring/summer schedule will include two PGF super selects, dayton metro, stingrays, 5 alarm and other high level tournaments. We have won 3 different bids to a national championships and chose to go to Branson, MO this July. I personally feel we are close to the top 10. We have proven in a few close losses to the top teams in the state that we can compete with anyone like our 4-3 loss to Lasers Black. We have also beaten a few high level Ohio teams. My goal for this group since I pulled 12 girls out of rec ball at 2nd year 10u was not to focus on record, but to go play the best competition we can find. Best of luck to all of the teams hopefully we will get a chance to see you a field soon.
Fastpitch Futures (4-1)
PGF King of the Hill (1-3)
Haunted House (4-1) Champions FASA National Bid
Ashland Fall Classic (3-1) C0-Champions winning 7-0 when cancelled for rain (USA National Bid)
Turkey Troy Sterling, VA (5-1) Champions USA National Bid
Lasers Black Invite (2-2)
Valentines 50 (2-1)

Upcoming
Winter Slam 2
Battle at Berliner
PGF Super Select Northern
Future Stars
PGF Super Select Midwest

Records against the top teams we have seen this year
Bandits Mercurio 0-1
Lasers Black 0-1
Buckeye Heat 09 1-1
Wolfpack Almond 2-0
T2 Mortinsen 1-0
Finesse Bragg 2-1
NWO Heat 1-2

Ohio Thunderbolts 2027 - Williamson
Record 22-6-1
Coaches:
HC Steve Williamson and Asst Drew Rainey

This season record wise has been strong with only 2 losses from Ohio based teams, I am assuming Bev Bandits Mercurio as Ohio. The injury bug has squashed us this season with 4 girls missing at least months so far from our team. Even so, the rest of the girls and a sub or two have helped maintain the ability to play! We have seen most of the teams that I will be voting for in this poll and competed with them all. Our schedule is much harder this year and that will challenge the girls for the years to come.
Fall:

*Stingrays 09 friendly 3-0
* Ohio Outlaws Friendlies 3-1-1
*Ashland Fall Classic ENQ 5-0 CHAMPIONS
* PGF Super Select 3-4 T3rd place
*
GAPS 3-0 T1st (Rained Out)
*Ohio Emeralds Halloween 4-1 Runner-Up

Up Coming:
Friendlies indoor
Raw March Madness
PGF Bandits 80
Future Stars

KEY WINS:

Ohio Lasers black (itb)
Ohio Outlaws 09
Ohio Stingrays09
Beverly Bandits 09 Bailey (Webb) (itb)
FireCrackers 09 (itb)
Buckeye Heat 09
Ohio Emeralds 08 Sirohman
Ohio Hawks Barnett
Ohio Wolfpack 09

Losses:
Beverly Bandits Mercurio
Team Long Island NY
Ohio Outlaws 09
Lady Lightning Gold Virginia 2x (itb)
TeamPa 09

Tie
Pa Lady Knights 09

We have a great group of ladies and can’t wait to get our entire team together after injuries! Hope to see everyone this season and good luck! ⚡

Steve, you are assuming Beverly Bandits Mercurio are an Ohio team??? Why do you say that?

Just last year you went on a mission to completely eliminate a team to be ranked in these polls that was in 12U for the simple fact that over half of their players were not from Ohio.

Everyone could see it was to clear the way for your team to be ranked higher with a top team not considered for these polls, or maybe you had an axe to grind???

Well, I assumed that Mercurio’s team is eligible because I asked the bandits coaches which was domiciled in Ohio, they told me Demarini team, which is Mercurio.
“Last year I went on a mission to eliminate a team, so my team could be ranked higher.” Not sure which mission you mean, but I did ask if Ron Williams Outlaws were based in Ohio, because I would vote for them if they were eligible. That team was certainly far more advanced than mine, but I didn’t vote for them because they weren’t an Ohio team.
Took you a year to bring that up? How is that axe, sharp enough?

Ohio Outlaws Premier 2010 - Mike Homan
Record: 26-8-2
Coached by Mike Homan, Colton Copley & Chad Tiller

Naturally it will be tough to pull votes being a true 11u team, however, if you know me or my team, you know what were capable of. Coming off a 10uA National Championship in FL last season, 12u has not really phased us much adjusting to the bigger ball and rubber distance. We show up & compete. Fall was hit or miss with us, battled a few injuries and Covid took down one of our pitchers, so we ran with a single pitcher for most of the Fall Season. After Fall was over, we added a lot of depth to our roster with another great pitcher, and two more catchers/utilities. We play a big schedule as always, rarely in Ohio, a lot of PGF. We got our first glimpse of what our new roster looked like a few weeks ago when we played indoors at the No Offseason bubbles in PA. Played some really good ball, team looked great. We pride ourselves on our defense and aggressive base running and we now have power 1-11. We ended up winning the Championship there in PA vs a well-rounded Silver Creek 09-Hare team. The S/C team is 2-2 vs our Outlaws 09 National - Whipkey team, so us actually beating that team twice was pretty solid for us. We get started next weekend in Atlanta, GA at the USSSA St.Pattys Classic. Looking forward to getting outside in some decent temperatures and playing some great competition!

Wolfpack 09-Almomd

Coached by: Anjellica Almond

Asst Coach: Jaime Porter

There's not a whole lot to go off for us as it's only the first week of March. If you've seen us play or have played us in the past you'll recognize a lot of faces again this season as my core 8 are back for another year. I have had most these girls for 4-5 seasons and they have become a pretty strong and talented group of girls. Our winter schedule is always light as we roster a lot of multi-sport athletes. That being said we have consistently shown that we can compete with top level teams in the state including this past fall with a win against Silver Creek and close losses to Emeralds 09 (Thunderbolts ), Team PA, Outlaws 09 Trbovich, as well as a loss and tie with Lasers Black. As with other teams we have struggled with injuries throughout fall and winter with our pitching and catching staff but still remained competitive.

We are excited for a challenging spring and summer schedule as our team is healthy and we have added some depth with another pitcher to strengthen our staff.

Wolfpack 09 is currently scheduled to compete in 13 spring/summer tournaments.

Top Tournaments/Friendlies include:

Future Stars

Lasers

D1 PGF Breast Cancer Shootout

PGF D1 Super Select

5 Alarm

Looking forward to kicking off the season and getting back on dirt! Best of Luck to all our fellow 12u teams!

I don't get on all here that much and just saw this. As you'll see we didn't play many Ohio teams but we were able to watch a few Ohio teams at some tournaments. So I'll send in my 2 cents in, for it's what's worth. I feel we're all beatable any given day. If I didn't see you play then I have no input on your team. Here is how we did this fall, not including friendlies and may have missed a game or two in there. We played all PGF events and the Fall USSSA World Series. Good luck to everyone this spring/summer

Same coaches……totally different team. Last year we had a record of 29-52-3. Clearly not impressive however we did have some great wins but just couldn’t get past a game or two in bracket play it seemed. In the off season we lost 6…yes, six. We rebuilt this team with 4 players to be stronger and have a lot more grit. Our team added 7 fresh faces to our roster for the 21-22 season. We are a true 09 group with all of the girls in 7th grade except one 6th grader. If anyone is not familiar with my tournament selection, we will play anyone. We strive to go to tournaments where we will be challenged and may even lose but prefer to play a high level of competition. Not to take anything away from some teams we have played but finding indoor tournaments in the fall/ winter isn’t the easiest and some level of competition was lower than we would like but reps are reps. We have played some tough teams that are definitely underestimated in my opinion.

So far in the 21-22 season we are 49-17-2. We have played in 2 indoor leagues winning those. We have won Snowball Slugfest, Cupid Blast and Birthday Bash in Coshocton.

Laser’s Invitational Key Wins
Lightning Fastpitch 09 4-0
3P Lady Irish 5-0
Ohio Stingrays 4-2

You can catch Buckeye Heat in the following soon:
Future Stars
Battle of Berliner
Mid-Ohio Shootout
Firefighters Memorial
Stars and Strikes
Sheer Madness
Five Alarm Classic
Mid-Ohio Freedom Fest
Ohio Emeralds Showdown
Celine Wyatt Memorial
Ohio All Sanction World Series

Any team can win or lose on any day however we are very excited to see these girls play outside which will really highlight our talented roster. We look forward to seeing you all soon!

It would be nice if coaches would just post weekend results and give credit where credit is due to other teams. No need to crack your own sternum thumping your chest, if your team is good everyone will know. Some posts are so god damn long its ridiculous.. Skip the sides and go straight to the main course folks.

PS - indoor softball doesn't mean shit..
