I believe Gahanna Lincoln will be in the top 8 for DI this coming year. They are a fun team to watch. That program is on the come up for sure. I think they suprised alot of people last year with their run.

Watkins lost some seniors but Carsyn Cassidy (Pitcher) is still there. Added a few studs in the field too.

Lancaster lost a couple senior starters but Both pitchers back and strong incoming freshman class.

  • Oak Hills should have a solid year. They have a solid core of seniors this year for 2023. Great pitcher, Avery Gottlieb. I believe 7 2023 senior college commits. Plus some strong underclassman players, Gretchen Hansen, & Julia Abbott. Just a couple I can think of on that team.

Austintown Fitch will be strong as long as Syd watts (Pitcher) is healthy.

Lakota West is always strong, but they lost some studs. Belle Hummel, KK Mathis, also their catcher. Maybe a few others.

DII
Triway-Lost 7 seniors class of 2022. Ace will be back for them (Pitcher) Carter Wachtel. Having her alone is a big advantage for Triway IMO. Not sure what they have coming in for freshmans.

Alder- always tough.

Heath- Should be solid. 23 class has solid pitcher/U (Renee Cunningham) few other solid athletes.

Lexington- should be solid. Lost a couple solid seniors but should be fine.

John Glenn- should be good. stacked 23 & 24 class.

This is all I can think of off top of my head.

Looking forward to some great HS games this coming spring. I will be rooting my Local teams on. Watkins Memorial (Pataskala- Hometown) & Lancaster (Daughter played & graduated from there). Also Gahanna Lincoln.

*updated- Fixed my mistake.

D1 - Lakota west lost 10 seniors. remaining pitchers had less than 20 innings pitched. And like 30 homers and 75+ stolen bases graduated. look for them to have solid squad, but far below last season results.

Oak Hills is the team to beat in GMC this year in Cincy area.

Doesn't Lineman play for her dad at Taylor? I believe they're a D3 in CHL

Agreed. LW lost a lot of talented players. OH is the team in D1 this year!

What about Anthony Wayne, Marysville and Teays Valley in D1? They were ranked top 10 in all of the coaches polls last spring.

I forgot about Anthony Wayne. They have 2 solid 2024 pitchers. Not sure what else they have this year.

I am not sold of Teays Valley. I agree they had a solid record but they didn’t beat anybody with any value. When they played “equal” /better competition they lost.

Marysville has Born (Pitcher) not sure who else they have on their roster.

1 Big sleeper we forgot to mention Beavercreek. They have Hailey Ferguson (Pitcher) Michigan commit. Just not sure what else they have to help out.

Ohio Softball is Better than ever and it’s gonna keep getting better as we see more and more kids starting to take it serious at a younger age.

Jackie has been spurring them for a run this year with the strong group of Seniors. Gottlieb is physically stronger plus I've simplified her pitching motion preparing her workhorse status she is known for.

Anthony Wayne should be good again. Marysville only lost 1 senior from last year. Teays Valley's question is pitching. Their lineup can hit though.

Triway is D-III this year.
Lost 7 Seniors. Returned 2 All-Ohio players.
2023 season so far. Defeated Teays Valley 2 games and Massillon Perry, D-I schools. 7-0.

GMC is a different world that previous 6+ years. Oak Hills leading, Fairfield in 2nd, Hamilton 3rd. WEST, EAST and Mason are all way down.

Lebanon is very solid as is Miamisburg. Have not seen Milford in person yet.
