Honestly there are a lot of quality coaches at all levels of play in Ohio. Some may never make up a line up card while others may have several teams they work with. Some coaches build a staff that helps ladies chase dreams.
It depends on what one’s criteria or traits one is looking for in a good coach.
Is it the ability to attract talent/families, grow talent (and this has a lot of variables)
Is it the work put in to get coaching accreditation and instructional resources to grow the whole athlete?
Is it their network of other coaches and softball organizations to help build for opportunities? Is it building strong effective practice plans that grows players and keeps them engaged and challenged while growing the physical and mental approach to the game?
Is it communication and organization?
Is it Team Wins and losses or, events played in?
Is it the players ability to move on to bigger organizations or college?
It may be for some, just being able to keep players involved in the game or, just a good overall guy or gal that the players and families connect with and, enjoy spending 3 to 5 days with at tournaments….
