MOLINE, ILL. - The Madison College softball team had hopes of repeating a road triumph in the opening weekend of postseason play to reach the Region 4 Tournament when play began Friday in the Region 4 Quarterfinal Tournament. After impressive wins over #12-seed Highland Community College and #4-seed Black Hawk College by identical 7-2 scores, the WolfPack's magic and momentum faded on Saturday with back-to-back elimination game losses to the host Braves with setbacks of 3-0 and 11-5. Sophomore pitcher Kendall Weik broke another strikeout record during the weekend, as she now holds the top mark for K's in a game, season, and career for Madison College. The Pack closed out their season with a 28-15 record.
