Anyone remember when the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association used to keep these lists on their website? What happened? I realize the 2022 lists are probably embargoed for a little while, but what about 2021, and the missing All District teams? What's up with that? Are they maintained somewhere else now that is publicly available?

The time to announce these is as soon as they are determined so they can be celebrated while the kids are still in school. That way the kids get the attention and accolades they have earned, and it boosts the game overall. That some coaches want to control and hide this information from their girls is, frankly, despicable and wrongheaded. Coaches who play gatekeeper would rather it be about them than the kids. Raise the game!

It’s obvious that the information is in the hands of some of the coaches as you can see all over Facebook, so why not just publish it now.

What does holding off until after finals achieve as the voting is already complete?

Everyone posts here like Softball is the only sport OHSAA deals with. They have a couple of dozen sports every year. Is it some how announced differently for Softball versus baseball, basketball or the other couple dozen sports at seasons end???

They wait to release to press as some coaches like to keep it secret to announce at their team banquets. Eventually District and State teams released to newspapers

Basketball All-District teams selected by the media, not the coaches, and are released immediately
