Perhaps Jane has taken some lessons from this experience. While I would agree there is something to be said about loyalty and teaching resilience, whether you are a coach or an employer, you have to create an environment that people want to be a part of, or they will leave. And if I was unhappy in a situation whether it was a team or a job, I would polish up my resume and move on, as should anyone - especially if they are in an abusive environment.
Picture a situation so bad that at the end of the season, literally only 7 players from a 20+ roster stayed, and of those 7 one was the coach's god-daughter. There was a lot I left unsaid when I first posted about this because I was asked not too. But there was another very ugly component to this situation that was never spoken of publicly and never got mentioned in the newspaper. But one day I will share it.
