We are looking for more information on potential teams needing a new team member in the Akron/Canton area. We are new to travel ball, but she has played 6 years of Rec and positions include 2nd, short stop, outfield and she’s a developing pitcher (she just started pitching this season and has started with a pitching coach as well). She loves the game and is looking for a team to develop and grow with!

Head to the next tournament in your area and start meeting coaches and talking to parents.
Watch games and the level of play. Don’t limit her to C level. A solid B level team could be good for her to learn and improve. It’s not always about being on the field every pitch. It’s about the athlete learning the game and fundamentals at a younger age and getting the reps at practice. Then in game reps.

cherish every minute because they will be done and off to college before you know it. Good Lick in your search and hope she finds a great team to be part of!

Thank you! I appreciate any/all advice while we figure out how this works exactly! We will definitely try that

Also if you can find a team in your area and talk to the coach they will most likely let her practice w the team. Then she can see the game is much faster at the travel level vs the rec level. But it’s also way more fun and competitive.

Ask questions about team fees, travel required, how often they practice, how many tournaments they plan to play and what tournaments. The list goes on and on.
