Ohio Monsters

We played in the Ashland Summer Classic last weekend. Went 3-0 in bracket play to get to the championship beating a talented Wolfpack team in the semis. Our pitching ran out of gas in the finals as we lost to Ohio Outlaws ‘09 in the championship. This was a great weekend for us being able to compete against 3 of the top 4 teams in Ohio. We are at the Explosive Frenzy this weekend; looking forward to competing against Ohio Ice Purple and Wolfpack again. Good luck to everyone!

Wolfpack 09 went 5-1 @ the Ashland Summer Classic, being knocked out in the semifinals by the Monster's. It was our first game against them, and we certainly came away impressed. Overall a very good group, well coached and 2 hard throwing pitchers! Congrats to the them and Outlaws's Johnson 09 for a great weekend.

Thunder Elite 09 was at the Steel Valley Showdown where we went 5-0 and then ran out of gas in the Championship losing to River City Venom.

OH USSSA PRIDE Red '09 was off this past weekend. We head to Pittsburgh, PA this weekend to play several great teams from PA. We will miss the usual company on this top 10 list, but are excited to see some fresh faces too. So far this year, we have:

Finished 1st at USA Uncle Charlie's Tournament
Finished 2nd at USSSA Central States Qualifier
Finished 3rd at USA States

Remaining schedule:
7/3-7/5: USA Battle in the Burgh against some top 10U teams in PA (Pittsburgh, PA)
7/14-7/19: PGF TN Nationals against great teams from several states (Nashville, TN)
7/25-7/26: USSSA Grand Finale, playing up in 12U (Lancaster, OH)
7/31-8/2: USSSA Grand Slam Finale, playing up in 12U (Pickerington, OH)

We competed in Ashland at the summer classic. We defeated a tough Monsters team 4-3 in pool play. We ran into Ohio Outlaws in the semi finals and lost the game 5-1. Congratulations to Kobe and his team on winning the Championship. They are really tough.
This week we travel to North Ridgeville to compete against Outlaws Frengel, Monsters, Wolfpack and many more. Good luck and we are excited to compete with you all again.

OhioEmeralds’09 was off last weekend, heading to Ashland’s “FireCracker Classic.” It was a well deserved and needed break, our only scheduled one of the season.

Man I’m slacking this week, been watching 04 daughter play in Gainesville Florida, driving to and from, typing this as I’m still coming back . Played down in Cincinnati with some great regional talent. Drop the game first IMG 09 3-2, Now 2-2 on the year vs them, beat Cincy shock 12-0 And Cincy doom 9-0. Rained Out for bracket play.
