MD, Rays Caton and Doom 95. I have to throw Ice 13u in there also, I know Bill will be working hard to improve. I put Lasers Red at #4 for one reason, the losses to the Slammers. I don't know what talent they picked up.

Lasers Red lost a few players to other teams from last year's version, including 2 to the Slammers, but return a strong core of talented and "big game" experienced players. They also picked up 3 Slammer girls, who are talented and expect to be playing when the sun is setting on Sunday. Lasers always recruit well, and when opportunity opens there are usually solid players to seize it.
A thing that I really enjoy, is watching for those certain team's flying "under the radar" that emerge & develop into strong and dominant teams - there are ALWAYS a handful of those!

The analysis on the Buckeye Heat '95 is one-third right. We need to get WAY more consistent. We also need to get WAY QUICKER on defense; that's inherent in the step up from 12's. Finally, we WAY need to improve our contact stats from the end of last summer. The good news is the girls worked extremely hard on their hitting last fall and showed great character in accepting that their swings needed significant revisions.
We're excited about the upcoming season, but frankly as a coaching staff we understand that there has to be a ton of improvement for us to even think about being rated up there with the older 14U teams. That's the challenge we are laying down to our girls.
Doom, Ice Silver, and Lasers Silver are absolutely the cream of the 13U crop and they should be able to change the world order in Ohio 14U ball this coming season. I'm also looking forward to my first glimpse of the 14U Madness team later this month, as people in the know seem quite impressed with those players.
