Doug,

We would probably be up for the fall as well. I would ask to avoid the first weekend in September if it is Labor Day weekend. We want to try and hit Queen of Diamonds this year (my parents don't know that yet so keep it quiet).

Can't wait to get to Dayton in less than two weeks!

We need to talk Doug. I think the traveling trophy is great and 3 pool to double elimination is great. I wanted this to be fun for everyone, that is why I got the umps involved as well to pick out best sportsmanship and MVP honors, they enjoyed that as well. The main trophy can be passed though and if they win it two years in a row then something else should be given to them as well. Like team shirts or hoodies or something like that. Talk with you soon.

Also the middle of september, 2nd weekend, I think would be best so teams can get through tryouts and a couple of practices together before they hit the grind.

Congrats also to Buckeye Heat 98 for its recognition for sportsmanship and for its solid play in this tourney. I frankly just missed the sportsmanship honor when I read the results the first time.

An organization couldn't ask for a better set of coaches than Patina and John to carry forward a tradition of coaching collegiality, player good citizenship, and player development.

Hey Doug, Are we allowed to request an invite to this fall "98 Throwdown"? Not sure if we can make it at this point but we would like to try. We don't make it down that way much but we will be at Stingrays this year. It was great seeing the Static come up here a few weeks ago. Les has a good team and played well at our tournament. It would be nice if we could get some kind of Northern/Southern tournament/friendly swap set up. All you guys south of Columbus come up to NEO one time and I will try to talk some of the teams from up here that are playing at a top level into coming down there once too.

Yes! Would love to have you - we will have 12 spots - 3 new ones that are open Nate ... you guys are in!

Put us down - I have not looked that far out w/ our Fall schedule yet but we are gonna play a lot (6-8 tourneys) in the fall since next year will be the first year I cant coach the girls until June.

Also, Doug , Les, & I were talking about making it a requirement that all teams entered into this must have their coach be vertically challenged - kind of like an ACE certification :) Sorry Paul & Tod but that means you guys cant attend but your team can :)

I have no problem with that Kavin. Maybe my team will do better with me not there. The question is, which one of you are going to take them over, Kavin, Doug or Les? I need to at least give them a heads up, lol.

We are going to have a small 'Kavin' cutout figure at the registration table for 97, and me for 98 .. big sign that says...

"Coach, You must be smaller than this to participate" :yahoo:

As long as the players don't have to be shorter than you guys, we'll be happy to let them come down. :)
