If you are looking for a tournament with a different format, other than the same old boring 4-game minimum tournament, look no further my friend.

We have a tournament format that will break up the monotony of the same old thing and provide your team with lots of games.

It is a 9-game guarantee tournament that will be played over the course of two consecutive weekends. It is called “The Ohio Magic Two-Weekend Father’s Day Extravagnza”

Here is the tournament format:

a) The first weekend, all teams will play five pool games

b) Teams will then be seeded, based on the pool game results

c) The second weekend, teams will return and play a triple elimination tournament (with a 4-game guarantee) based on the seeding from the pool games played the weekend before.

Here are the particulars:

Week 1 - June 11 - 13, 2021

Format: Five pool games - teams must be available to play as early as 2:00 PM on Friday

Location: Springfield High School – 11335 Youngstown Pittsburgh Rd, New Middletown, Ohio 44442

Week 2 - June 18 - 20, 2021 (Father's Day Weekend)

Format: Triple elimination (4-game guarantee) - teams must be available to play as early as 2:00 PM on Friday

Location: Fields of Dreams – 410 McClurg Rd, Boardman, Ohio 44512

Tournament Fee:

Early Bird Registration Fee: $775 - covers the cost of both weekends. Must be registered, with a $250 deposit, by January 1, 2021. The remaining balance to be paid, in full, by March 15, 2021.

Slow Poke Registration Fee: $825 - covers the cost of both weekends. If registered, with a $250 deposit, after January 1, 2021. The remaining balance to be paid, in full, by March 15, 2021.

Age Groups: 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u, & 18u

This tournament format is certainly different. It will provide your team with lots of games. Plus, this tournament will be played at two different complexes that are both awesome facilities for tournament play.

Due to the unique tournament format, spots in each age division will be limited. So, if you are interested, please contact Bill Amero at bill.amero@gmail.com or 330-501-7506.

To register your team, simply complete the registration form attached to this post, scan it and email back to Bill Amero. This will temporarily hold a spot for your team. Then, mail in the $250 deposit as soon as possible and you will have a [permanent spot in this tournament.

Please share this with other teams in your organization as well.

Due to Coronavirus, the tournament director was unable to update this tournament for several weeks.

Luckily, he is healthy now and all teams have been updated. Stay safe everyone!
