The Akron Racers '01 16U Elite team is looking for one starting pitcher and one starting outfielder. We have two high quality starting pitchers but want to add a third to our rotation. We are also seeking an experienced starting outfielder with great speed, who ideally can slap and/or hit from the left side. We will have one parent coach and two former college softball players as the coaching staff.

Why be a part of the Akron Youth Racers program?
1) Be around pro players and coaches, learning the game, understanding recruiting, developing your mental softball skills, and enjoying a fantastic experience.
2) Play and practice time on the fields at Firestone Stadium, when available.
3) Indoor practices over the winter to prepare players for high school ball, and continued skill development
4) A VERY proactive recruiting program where we are contacting coaches on your behalf
5) Play for a team with instant name recognition and credibility with college programs, and a network behind you fully committed to helping girls find opportunities through softball.
6) Wear an exact replica of the Akron Racers uniforms (3 jerseys, 3 pants, socks, shoes, helmets, etc etc).
7) We are a non-profit organization so we keep costs down for families.
