  1. For high school sports is a senior allowed to play on a jv team?

100% yes. Under OSHAA rules, any 9th - 12th grader in Ohio can participate on varsity, JV or both.

Many people get confused when it comes to OHSAA rules or their own school district rules. To my knowledge, seniors can indeed play JV but some school districts opt'd to not allow it. All have their reasons and make valid points. Personally, it makes little sense to me unless it is a rehabilitation from injury or you need the numbers to field your JV team for an event.

Many teams allow it except in conference events.

Seniors have and continue to play JV in all sports... Now if the Varsity team is not very good the senior should play varsity and get to participate in senior activities. I know of teams that add seniors to varsity that only seen the field senior night, kept score or ran bases...
