ASA Tournament Cincy Doom Spring Madness

Games start at 8:00, though some teams won't play until 9:30. Two pool games and then to single elimination. Last game would be 5:00 pm.

Patty has the Men's league roll in at 4pm tomorrow/today - that is a money maker and they always try to get the girls done before that... good luck all .. long day for no softball ...

Congrats to the Riptide 12u. Fantastic job winning a berth to ASA/USA nationals. The girls played well and deserved it. The rain on Saturday kind of put a damper on things. Today play started at 8 am. We (Riptides) went 1-1 in pool play beating the Indy Diamonds 10-3, and dropping second pool game to the Doom 5-2. Beat the Indiana Magic 7-2 in bracket play and then won the rematch with the Doom 6-1 in the championship. Hats off to a very good Doom team.

It was a long day and a long drive home, but I'm pretty sure you have that first Doom/Buckeye Heat game score wrong . . . . ok, just put my shoes back on and went out to the car to pull the book and the score on the first game was Doom 3, Buckeye Heat 0. Doom scored 1 in the 4th and 2 in the 6th.

No question about the spanking in the final. You are correctly reporting that one. We can't come close to putting pressure on a great team like the Doom without our A+ defensive game and for whatever reason we were more around B to B- in the final, which is always going to translate into a very big Doom win. Great team and we look forward to meeting again. Can't get better without playing the best. And one of these days we're going to score a run off #10.

It was great to meet you. Thanks for the correction, (I knew I wasn't going to be correct on all of them, therefore the disclaimer..^_^!) It was a long day but as you said, great to be playing late on Sundays.

Again this weekend two of the top ten 12u teams went up against each other at Rivershores, Cincy Doom 96 and Riptides. Again I witnessed two well executed games with great defense, hitting and pitching by both teams. Congratulations to the Riptides and their ASA / USA national berth. I was impressed with the Riptides and how this team has been coached and the players that have developed over the last year. Again if this weekend represents the type of softball we will see this season out of the top 12u teams in Ohio we are in for an exciting summer.

Nice place to play, field crew did a great job. Congrats to Doom 95 and the Riptides.
My only beef is that Rivershore would have a time limit (75MN) on the Championship game.
Full games allows teams to play the game the way that it was intended to be played.
Rivershore charged 5 buck's to get in you would think they would let teams play 7 innings in the Championship games.
