They can coach travel ball but only have a maximum of 4 players from their high school team on the roster. August is a "no contact" month so that month, plus the time from their first high school scrimmage/game of the season, until the end of the high school season are the current restrictions as I understand it.
Basically does not change that much...HS Coaches still have the 4 player rule, but can now Coach in the fall. Except in August which is the OHSAA Dead period for softball.

Is that only if the High School Coach is coaching a travel team? Can travel teams have more than 4 girls from the same high school on their Roster during the summer?
Not if the high school coach, assistant coach or volunteer associated with the high school team is coaching. If the coach is someone else than there is no limit to the number of players from the high school team between Memorial Day Weekend and July 31
What would be interesting is if the OHSAA allowed coaches to coach an unlimited number of their players all summer. How many high school coaches would actually want to coach travel ball, with no pay and every Friday-Sunday now spoken for? How many high school coaches would step up to coach, but try to keep their entire teams together and play a travel schedule, when several of those girls preferred to go off and play for an established travel organization?
