Right over here!
I like what Pacer had to say. It is true when you're young looking into the abyss and finding the composure to stay competitive is something many kids don't learn to do. Talk to your DD and let her know all those errors and drop 3rds are teaching her how to deal with adversity. You see so many flame throwers at 10U who cant stay in the game mentally when they get older. You have to learn to lose before you can learn to win. Its how you deal with the tough times, especially as a pitcher, which will define you later, and it comes much sooner then you think!

Now wait just a minute... I was told at 12u it is about player development and NOT chasing trophies, 14-16u is for exposure and NOT chasing trophies, 18u is to prepare to play at the next level and NOT chase trophies. If you can't trophy chase at 10u then when can you?
That made me laugh out loud! And of course, there's some truth to it.

A 12u coach shared a quote that changed my perspective about pitching:
"I became a good pitcher when I stopped trying to make them miss the ball and started trying to make them hit it."
I think these 10u girls, who get hit and keep plugging away, have an advantage in the future. Good luck!
