Ohio Hawks 05 Ankrom Tryout

****Update**** The Ohio Hawks organization is finalizing some exciting news that will be announced soon. Hawks President Doug Lenos will post an announcement once everything is ready. Our Ohio Hawks 05 Ankrom open workout for Sunday July 14th will need to be canceled to give us time to finalize things. This will not affect the July 22nd tryout and there will be other opportunities set for tryouts after the 22nd as well.

**** Canceled**** Ohio Hawks 05 Ankrom will host an open workout Sunday July 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 at Portsmouth Notre Dame High School. We are looking for players to add to our returning core group for the 2019-2020 season. All positions will be considered. The workout is rain or shine. Bring cleats and tennis or turf shoes.

There will be another workout at Portsmouth Notre Dame High School July 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00. Private workouts can be setup as well.

This will be an A level showcase team. The schedule will be a mix of fall and summer showcases with a qualifier and a nationals tournament to end the summer season.

All players that play for this team should have the goal of playing some level of college softball. In addition to team practices, all players will be expected to train on their own with a hitting coach. Pitchers and catchers are expected to train with coaches for their positions.

If your daughter is a talented, hard working, goal oriented team player this could be the opportunity for you.

The tryout details for Monday July 22nd are set. Registration will begin at 5:30. The tryout will be from 6:00 to 8:00 and pitchers and catchers will stay after. The tryout will be rain or shine so bring cleats and tennis or turf shoes in case we need to go indoors. The location is Portsmouth High School varsity softball field.
