The Ohio Ice Green 16U Softball Team, will be holding an “Open” tryout on Sunday, August 8th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Pony Field in the Akron Firestone Softball Complex.
We are fresh off a competitive fall/summer season (51-13-1) with
> 2 Tournament Championships
> Multiple Final Four finishes
> 2 Runners-Up finishes, including an impressive showing last week at the USA Softball 16A Eastern National Championships in Sterling, Virginia, finishing as one of the Top 8 (16A) teams in the entire USA.
We are looking to fill two pitching positions due to two of our pitchers moving up to 18U and we will be looking to add a couple more pieces to our already impressive roster. We will consider pitching candidates that can also play 3rd/2nd base as well as outfield candidates and utility players.
We will once again be playing a college showcase schedule in the fall/summer. This past summer, we had the privilege of playing in front of over thirty different colleges/universities and we have already been invited to participate in several team camps this fall.
