The Ohio Wolfpack Fogle 8u (Player Pitch/Coach Pitch) team will be holding tryouts in August.
(8u = Players cannot turn 9 prior to Jan 1, 2018. As long as you are 8 or younger on 1/1/18 you are eligible for 8u)
Team Information
This is a new Wolfpack 8u team that will be looking for players who are ready for travel ball and or already have travel ball experience. This is a great opportunity to be coached by a very knowledgeable and experienced coaching staff as well as play for an outstanding organization. The organization is based out of Massillon, Ohio, the coaching staff is from the Mansfield, Ashland & Wooster areas.
Coaches
Our coaching staff has 40 + years of combined coaching experience at every travel ball level (8u - 18u)
As a coaching staff we are able to provide our players their own hitting instructor, catching instructor as well as enough pitching knowledge to get them started and pointed in the right direction!
I have coached travel ball for 25+ years without ever having a kid on the team. I have a daughter who is 8 now, so it's time for me to turn the page and share my years of experience and knowledge of the game with her and her teammates! I will be joined by 2 coaches who have not only played the game at a high level (HS,Travel,College) they also have many years of coaching experience at the HS varsity level as well as the travel ball level.
This will be the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] season with the Ohio Wolfpack, which started @ 12u, followed by 14u, and the past 4 seasons @ 16u.
Our Plan
Our plan for this team is to teach, practice and play, with much of the emphasis being put on the practicing & teaching so that we can prepare them for 10u the following year.
Fall (Sept-October)
Practice on Saturday afternoon's in Wooster + Fall tournament and or Friendly
Winter (Nov-Feb)
The team will practice on Sunday mornings in Massillon, Oh and offer 1 weeknight of Hitting in Ashland, Oh
Spring (Apr-May)
The team will practice one week night TBD and Saturday or Sunday TBD in Wooster, Oh
Summer (May-Jun-July)
During the summer we will plan to practice at least 1 weeknight per week and play in approx 6-7 tournaments through the months of May, June & July
You're Cost
Player Fee will be $500 per player with each player receiving 3 uniforms, batting helmet + hoodie or bat bag.
We will offer several fundraisers, some where the funds are put towards the team and others where the funds are put towards the player fee. We will put you in a position to be able to fund your entire player fee through fundraising if you choose to do so.

Players only need to attend one tryout however may attend as many as desired

***Note*** It will be mandatory for ALL of our players to wear a Facemask, therefore we encourage all players trying out to please wear a Facemask.
Based on our coaching experience and our passion for the game, we feel this is a great opportunity for young players to get broken into the travel ball circuit and prepared for the next level.
We will hold private tryouts for those who are interested yet not available for any of the 4 tryout dates.
